About
The Camp
Established in 1900 on a 43-acre island, the camp provides a relaxed and simple life that has changed little since its founding. Generations of families and newcomers come to Three Mile to swim, fish, kayak, canoe, and sail in New Hampshire's largest lake; many also hike in the nearby mountain ranges.
Your Stay
Campers stay in small lakefront cabins equipped with simple furnishings. Camp days are largely unstructured with plenty of time to relax with friends and family. Every day, three delicious, farm fresh meals are served family-style on the porch of the main building in a warm, social atmosphere. In keeping with the culture of the camp’s founding, no modern electronic devices are to be used or visible outside of your cabin.
How to Visit
Because space is limited, registration is conducted via lottery every January. Campers may apply each year for available space during nine summer weeks and four fall weekends. During the off-season, the camp hosts programs that support its core missions of voluntary simplicity, community, and sustainability.
